We seem to be doing a lot of sitting around lately reading and sipping coffee.
Up at 3.00 a.m., at the Lima Airport by 3.45 a.m. and sitting in the departure lounge soon after. Boarded the plane by 5.00 a.m. and then sat and waited.
Eventually we were informed that the weather in Ayacucho was too bad to fly into, therefore, back into the boarding lounge to wait for the weather to clear.
7.50 a.m. and we are awaiting for the next weather update. The next report was for 2.00 p.m.! The next blog could be from this very departure lounge!
Finally we boarded the plane at 3.30 p.m., virtually twelve hours after cheecking in...
As Dad said, when traveling by air, have time to spare although it seems as though you had plenty of time up your sleeve!
