This man has been spotted all over Peru; however, he was last seen standing beside the almost empty luggage carousel at the Ayacucho airport. ‘Almost empty’ because there was one lonely suitcase beginning its eighth lap, all the others had been collected and the travellers had departed. The only other person in sight was the airport attendant waiting to switch off the carousel.
What was the problem? Well the lonely traveller failed to recognise his bag in spite of the fact that it was secured by a bright blue belt.
He was eventually led away bag in tow and mumbling something about… ‘but I thought my case was thicker than that’!
His chaperones continue to keep a close eye on him, especially as we all head into the jungle on Friday for a few days.
