Today saw the beginning of the art classes for the patients. We worked with two groups this morning and we will have a third on Thursday mornings.
The nurses also worked with the patients, and that was a big help for the ‘art professor’ who has limited Spanish. Nevertheless, painting speaks many languages and there did not seem too many worries as we tackled the joys of mixing primary colours to achieve secondaries and so on.
Once again the power point proved invaluable depicting the colour wheel in all its glory. It made focussing on particular colours so easy.
As a second task the groups tackled painting flowers using many different images posted on the screen.
It was obviously a joy for all to work at a different form of task. And in the end the cleaning up was simple and there were no major spills!
