Our Thursday morning Art class.

An early start for all under the watchful eyes of Elmer and myself.
This morning we took our first Thursday morning class with Elmer’s group of young people – Elvira, William, Laud, Alex, Marino and Erich. From the moment I walked into the room they were ready to assist me setting up the tables with paints, water, brushes, art paper and the all important rag for drying brushes, and mopping up spills if they occur! They really enjoyed their initial play with primary and secondary colours and then their efforts painting flowers

William and Marino seem happy with their efforts with the brush.

It is fantastic watching them go about the task of reproducing something on the screen in front of them. They obviously liked experimenting with the various colours. And once again the value of the laptop and data show goes without saying.

This group are involved in producing products made from the cloth they weave on their looms and also a wide range of jewellery. They are always extremely proud to display their efforts to any interested person or persons.

The unanimous decision at the end of the lesson was that next week they all want to try their hand at painting different fruits.
Straight after cleaning up and storing the art materials away the magnetic dart board was produced and some serious action resulted!
